The preparations for the European Youth Olympic Winter Festival (EYOWF 2013) have accelerated, as we are approaching our deadline in February 17th, 2013.

With ski jumping being one of the main sports of the Festival, we watched closely the FIS Summer Cup, hosted in Râșnov in May 9-th,. 2012. It was the first official event on the ski jumping track in Rasnov, the newest in Romania and one of the most modern in Central-Eastern Europe.

There was no better opportunity to properly inaugurate this sports complex but with an international ski jumping contest. 35 athletes from Romania, Austria, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Bulgaria, Belarus and Ukraine competed for the cup, among whom we have found world and olympic champions like Thomas Morgenstern, Robert Kranjec and Roman Koudelka.

The competition was a real success and showed that Romania is getting ready to host the European Youth Olympic Festival next year.

The ski jumping compex currently has three ski jumping tracks that were already completed and FIS approved (15, 35 and 64 meters), and a fourth (90m long) that will be completed by the end of 2012.
