EYOWF 2013

The largest youth sports event in Romania will take place in Brasov, and other two cities of the Brasov Region, Rasnov and Predeal, between the 17th and 22 of February 2013. Its participants will compete in eight winter sports disciplines, Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Biathlon, Ice Hockey, Figure Skating, Short Track, Ski Jumping and Snowboarding.

Goals of the EYOWF 2013 Project

- Quality organisation of the 2013 Festival, including sports-technical, social, and financial issues;
- Presentation of both Brasov Region and Romania; promotion of Romanian culture and hospitality;
- Involvement of public, sports environment, clubs and companies in preparation and organisation;
- Education of children and youth within the accompanying educational programme for schools, focused on basic Olympic values: fair play,tolerance, solidarity, mutual understanding and friendship;
- Motivating children and youth to sports activities and meaningful fulfilment of their leisure time activities;
- Creating optimal conditions for young talented Romanian athletes and support of their careers;
- Potential improvement of sports facilities infrastructure;
- Development for tourism and travel industry in the region;
